Primary Function

Sales Analytics reporting, troubleshooting, with report optimizing to support AO Smith’s vison around being a great place to work, a market leader, and building the best team.

Scope of Responsibility

The Sales Support Analyst is responsible for creating, updating, and optimizing reports and reporting needs for the sales team and functional businesses impacted by sales team.


SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (List in order of importance)

· Compiling, Analyzing and Reporting Sales Data for both shipments and market share

· Training sales team members and sales support team on efficient use of existing sales tools and reports

· Optimization of existing sales reports including improving, eliminating, and automating

· Partnering with other functional departments on sales reporting needs including but not limited to Finance Analysts

· Pulling and Analyzing Sales Reporting specifically to support Sales Demand Planning and SIOP process

· Sales Force Reporting optimization and compilation of Profit and Loss Statement for Commercial National Accounts Department.

· Full line product data and Enriched data content for customers including CVR files

· Demand Creation customer claims optimization. Analyzing existing processes, recommending improvement opportunities, with claims for Utility, Builder (in coordination with Builder Admin) and Contractor Channels.

· Demand Creation Program Support. Assist in updating customer programs across Demand Creation segments and coordinating communications on updates with legal department.

· Support for Sales Support Team with ad hoc reporting



· Proven experience as an analyst or similar role

· Concise, clear, and effective communication skills

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Strong experience using Microsoft Tools, especially with Excel



· (Preferred but not required)

o Experience using cloud based analytic tools like Tableau and Sales Force.

o Experience building presentations and leading teams in data driven presentations using tools like Power Point.

o Availability to travel for out of market business meetings, likely 1-4 times per year.
