Primary Function

The Business Analytics Manager manages a team of business data analysts who use business data, analytic tools and statistical methods to present insight and recommendations to top executives for decision making and strategic planning, provide insight into key business performance and suggest areas of improvement. This role oversees internal/external information sources for business analysis, and trains/equips functional level analysts. This role is perfect for someone who considers themselves a Data Evangelist and wants to help solve business problems through data.  


  • Proven experience providing strategic analytics support to key business initiatives by prepping and creating data sources to solve business problems    
  • Proven experience as a data and analytics advocate within the business                          
  • Conception and requirements gathering       
  • Front end reporting (tabular and dashboard) development and maintenance                    
  • Deployment/training end users                    
  • Ability to independently identify problems and propose solutions                            
  • Ability to go beyond the analytics and the numbers to see the business impact of an analytics project and align team goals and objectives with the overall business strategy          
  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to build trust and relationships across the organization                               
  • Ability to manage and mentor a small, diverse team of analysts at varying skill levels                            
  • Experience tracking and quantifying business value of analytics projects    



  • Advanced  Data Visualization skills - Regulaly develops visualizations and dashboards.  Tableau is the preferred tool, but other tools considered
  • Advanced Excel skills - understand Excel well enough to train other users, and can easily and efficiently create dynamic advanced reports and handle advanced ad hoc requests
  • Experience in SQL                        
  • Proven experience working with data prep tools - Tableau Prep, Alteryx, etc.                        
  • Experience with SAP reporting tools (Analysis for Excel, BPC, WebI, OLAP)
  • Strong understanding of data validation, strong data validation process
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities
  • Passion and curiosity of data and business


Bachelor's Degree in Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
