Primary Function

The Engineer Technician will conduct time studies and labor analysis on direct/indirect labor functions. Will perform project management functions as needed and support other project efforts. The Engineer Technician will utilize AutoCAD to support plant layout and develop improvement ideas. Will utilize skills to analyze data from existing spreadsheets and databases in Excel and Access. Perform capability studies as needed, troubleshoot equipment, and implement solutions to correct existing root cause issues. Support facility Kaizen events and determine/implement annual cost savings projects.  


  1. Utilize AutoCAD to support plant layout and develop improvement ideas.
  2. Must be able to utilize skills to analyze data from existing Excel spreadsheets and Access databases.
  3. Must be able to perform capability studies, troubleshoot equipment, and implement solutions to correct existing root cause issues.
  4. Support Kaizen events and determing and/or implement annual cost saving projects.
  5. Perform any other activities as needed or as directed. 


  • AutoCAD knowledge and experience
  • Project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate meetings
  • Ability to observe and document work performed by others
  • Experience in or exposure to manufacturing, quality, and technical environments
  • Ability to observe and document process steps in automated work environment
  • Trade Certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer, preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with computers and programs, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Mini-tab
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines and goals


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year related work experience
