Job Description: Initiate and support process improvement for equipment such as Seam Welders, Spud Welders, Head Welders, Hydraulics, conveyers, etc.

 

Job Duties:

Collect and analyze date to determine opportunities for process improvement.

Work to develop and implement action plans to improve use of equipment in our process.

Coordinate and conduct various designs of experiments and trials for process/product development and improvement.

Track downtime on equipment and develop and implement action plan to improve.

Fixture design and maintenance for various fabrication processes.

Project management.

Assist with training employees in proper use of equipment and tools.

Travel as necessary for training and trials.

Coordinate/support installation of new equipment and systems.

Working cross functionally to investigate and define root causes to issues as they arise.

Evaluating and providing recommendations for production ussues discovered on the shop floor.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Must have good verbal, written, and organizational skills; quick to learn and apply new concepts.

Must have meticulous attitude toward record keeping and data analysis.

Must have very methodical approach to problem solving - Lean Manufacturing Techniques such as 5Why, 5M, Fishbone Diagram, etc.

Must be self-motivated and self-directed - able to work independently with a "production first" attitude.

Strong STEM Skills

Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, Smartsheets

Must be at least intermediate level user in MS Excel.

Must be able to work flexible hours and travel on a limited basis.

Experience using Auto Cad ,SolidWorks 3D modeling software preferred.

Must be capable of working within a team environment to collaborate and share ideas.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in technical field - Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
