Primary Function

As the 1st Shift Human Resources Supervisor, you will be responsible to lead the HR function at our 1,100-employee water heating manufacturing facility in Ashland City, TN.  The successful candidate will have previously been successful aligning HR objectives with the business and driving organizational value by actively partnering with site leadership to drive continuous improvement towards expected business results.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for employee questions, concerns, suggestions, and needs.
  • Develop programs to enhance employee relations and offer employee support to each staff member.
  • Proactively address potential morale issues, involving the appropriate stakeholders and driving issues to closure.
  • Coach front-line supervisors through employee relations and performance management issues.
  • Work closely with HR Coordinators to develop their technical and leadership skills.
  • Ensure that the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to the corporate culture.
  • Deliver compensation and benefit comparison reports to the executive team each month and make recommendations to improve the company’s current offerings.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of site's employee engagement, employee recognition, and communication efforts.
  • Partner with operations management to help foster effective relationships and two-way communication by participating in skip-level and communication meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3 years of prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a human resources supervisory position
  • Experience with various HRIS systems (SAP, Kronos, etc.)
