Process Engineering Technologist II

The Ashland City plant manufactures water heaters. You would be assigned to the area that fabricates the tanks used in the water heaters. This process involves industrial presses, welding equipment, robots, furnaces, and other manufacturing equipment. Main responsibilities would include working cross functionally to investigate and define root causes to issues as they arise. Responsible for evaluating and providing recommendations for production issues discovered on the shop floor. This includes data collecting, research, facilitating and collaborating with other team members. Identify, lead, and execute projects that target improvements to key plant metrics: safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency.

- Strong STEM skills

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus

- Strong problem-solving ability and quick learner

- Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams & Smartsheets is a plus

- Experience with Auto-Cad, Solidworks is a plus


2 + years of Engineering experience preferred.


High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training

Physical Requirements

  • Loud noises and limited exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.  
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
  • Variable hot and cold working environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
