Primary Function

The Product Coordinator is responsible for the product support for assigned products post product launch. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned product life cycle from introduction, cost optimization and obsolescence.
  • Responds to inquiries related to pre-sales product technical support for Customers, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Technical Service.
  • Assists customers and sales team with questions regarding Building Codes and their application to products.
  • Handles code Inspector Challenges as necessary to support customers and sales team.
  • Performs the creation and maintenance of product data in PIM system that is not in SAP or otherwise managed by product engineering.
  • Addresses part substitution requests regarding current products with Product Management and Engineering.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to develop sales tools and training programs.
  • Create and maintain product presentations. Give presentations to both internal and external parties on current and future product developments.
  • Publish regular product update documents, white papers and technical communiqués as related to new functionalities and other high-priority product issues.
  • Develop and maintain content for product and company collateral material.
  • Support trade shows and other company-sponsored events.
  • Act as the point of contact for Sales and Customer Service for technical questions that cannot be answered with existing materials.
  • Help profitably grow market share by providing Sales with extensive product information, competitive information and appropriate training
  • Keep Customer Service up-to-date on new products and requirements affecting the order entry process
  • Provide Distribution with relevant information to move products through our system efficiently and in good condition
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or a related field
  • 3 years of related experience

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in plumbing, HVAC, or a related field, in retail and/or wholesale channels
  • Core competencies include analytical ability & problem solving, strong verbal & written communication, technical aptitude, portfolio management, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
