Primary Function

Candidate will provide QA support to manufacturing to ensure quality product to the customer. The candidate will check raw materials, fabricated parts, finish product and incoming materials. Make periodic inspections and able to inspect and perform First Article Inspections on new parts. Analyze data and product, reporting information accurately. Become involved in new projects and test samples when needed. Ability to work in a team environment and work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read basic measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, radius gauges)
  • Must be able to analyze data and report accurate information
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to a variety of individuals including; management, supervisors, and hourly employees
  • Must be capable of learning advanced material testing and elevation techniques such as; hardness testing, ductility testing, and material density testing

 

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with computers and programs, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines and goals

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work safely and maintain a clean work environment
  • Constant Standing/Walking
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 70lbs
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment

Minimum of 1 year related work experience
