Job Description: Lead welding process improvements, scrap reduction and reduce cycle time initiatives by working in a cross functional team.


Job Duties:

Investigate root cause and implement changes to prevent reoccurrence in a welding environment.

Work to develop and implement action plans to improve use of equipment in our process.

Actively look for opportunities that will increase uptime and reduce downtime in the production line.

Develop process and procedures for welding equipment that can be followed by production and technical personnel.

Conduct engineering trials for data collection and analyze data to set direction on improvements.





Minimum Requirements

Must be able to work safely in an industrial environment, (training provided).

Manual and robotic GMAW welding competency.

Experience leading projects.

Desire to learn by doing.

Must have meticulous attitude toward record keeping and data analysis.

Must have very methodical approach to problem solving - Lean Manufacturing Techniques such as 5Why, 5M, Fishbone Diagram, etc.

Must be self-motivated and self-directed - able to work independently with a "production first" attitude.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, Smart sheets.

Must be capable of working within a team environment to collaborate and share ideas.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Weld Engineering or related technical field.

Must have at least 2 years of related experience.
