Primary Function

The Channel Marketing Manager for Wholesale is responsible for leading the daily marketing efforts for all wholesale brands including A. O. Smith, State, American and Takagi.  This effort includes the development and execution of strategies, programs, and projects to help A.O. Smith win in the wholesale channel.  This person works directly with internal wholesale sales staff, representative agencies and key wholesaler contacts, as well as provide direction to staff to ensure that our marketing programs are being effectively designed and implemented in the marketplace.  

Scope of Responsibility

Responsibility includes the planning, budgeting, development and execution of many of the marketing initiatives that support the sale of products through the wholesale channel.  This person leads the strategy and key tactical items within our wholesale marketing effort.  Individual also brings field intelligence from a sales rep and wholesaler perspective to our marketing and product management team to help drive future programs and product portfolio direction.  Market knowledge also gained through participation in industry group and associations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or another related discipline
  • Minimum of 3+ years previous marketing experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Established knowledge of Business to Consumer and Business to Business marketing practices.
  • Experience in large event and/or trade show management
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital marketing efforts
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to customers and internal employees at all levels within the organization
