Primary Function

Direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Determine price schedules and discount rates.
  2. Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  3. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
  4. Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
  5. Plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications.
  6. Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products,.
  7. Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase..
  8. Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  9. Visit franchised dealers to stimulate interest in establishment or expansion 
  10. Direct, coordinate, and review activities in sales & shipping operations. .
  11. Assess marketing potential of new and existing customer locations.
  12. Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  13. Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Supervisory/Leadership experience a plus but not required

2. Experience in sales or new business development with a focus on engineered products

3. Previous experience in heat transfer products a strong plus. 

4. Previous experience working with distributors & rep organizations a plus.

5.. Strong skills in the business development, account management and sales process.

6. Proficiency in MS Office Products is required. Experience in Salesforce CRM is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Related Field

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
