Primary Function

Employee must adjust a 10/32 thread lock tapper to assure part (spud) is at proper thread depth, then machine will perform the tapping operation.

Responsibilities

  • Keep area clean.
  • Monitor machine.
  • Comply with safety procedures.
  • Comply with quality procedures.
  • Use calipers and dial indicator.
  • Be a team player
  • May require working various assignments including door line assembly, pilot line assembly, secondary operations, and parts washer to support the need of the facility and customer requirements.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic computer knowledge, including SAP
  • Dial indicator knowledge and experience
  • Caliper knowledge and experience
  • X-Bar charts knowledge and experience.

 

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 months related work experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.  
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
  • Variable hot and cold working environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
