Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Basic Function:

Lead and support Maintenance Technicians and perform duties of a working Lead.  Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing equipment which includes mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC and robotic processes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Same as current job descriptions as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
    • Troubleshoot all types of manufacturing equipment in regards to pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical
    • Troubleshoot and make repairs on all plant equipment.  Assist others when needed.
    • Troubleshoot PLC driven machines, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Automation Direct
    • Troubleshoot and repair problems with Robots.
    • Design and build mechanical aides for process improvements
    • Work with other departments, such as tooling and engineering, in order to lead projects to a successful completion
    • Train set-up operators and other maintenance personnel in order to upgrade their skill level
    • Design and install guarding and other safety equipment to meet OHSA requirements
    • Perform all duties and responsibilities safely.  Ability to follow company safety policies and practice safe work habits.
    • Perform PM’s on a timely basis and provide feedback that can improve the preventative maintenance system.
    • SAP Data Entry including corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, project work orders, and safety work orders.  Details of actions and parts used must be entered in SAP.
    • Make logical decisions and perform in a quick pace environment under pressure.
    • Performs tasks as per directed by supervision.
  • Communicate with other shifts, issues or concerns that have occurred through your shift
  • Assure customer service given throughout shift to all requestors.
  • Assign jobs to employees based on the Project List & PM Schedule
  • Responsible for assisting management with reviews
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings
  • Build effective teamwork among employees in the department
  • Maintain high employee morale
  • Ensure that department is kept clean and organized, 6S program in place
  • Promote CI activities
  • Complete Supervisor/Group Leader Training Program

 

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Journeyman or similar related certification or degree preferred
  • Five plus years of experience in specific responsibilities mentioned above
  • Must possess a complete set of maintenance tools
