Primary Function

APCOM's climate controlled facility in Franklin, Tennessee, manufactures electric thermostats, pipe nipples, dip tubes, elements, and burner assemblies.  The 2nd Shift Service Parts Operator will initiate operation in accordance with customer requirements and monitor performance to optimize production processes.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday; 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm CST

 

Hourly Rate of Pay:  $19.76/hr ($18.76 plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential rate)

 

Sign On Bonus Opportunity:

  • $500 at 90th day of hire
  • $500 at 180th day of hire
  • $500 at 365th day of hire
  • Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing training and performing Operator functions in accordance with required work instructions.
  • Must be able to work with automated machinery and have the ability to perform troubleshooting tasks in order to increase machine up time.
  • Will be responsible for packing stock orders.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision and be self-motivated.
  • Must be flexible to perform varying assignments outside of home department to support the needs of the facility and customer requirements
  • Must stand entire 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain production supplies, pallets, gloves, etc.
  • Perform computer related activities.
  • Maintain work area in a safe and clean state.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of work experience in manufacturing environment desired but not required
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Participation in the cross-training programs established for this facility to enable continuous, uninterrupted production of quality material
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment preferred
