Primary Function

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments and using the assigned project management system as a guide to achieve the project objectives. The Project Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments and using the assigned project management system as a guide to achieve the project objectives. The project engineer is responsbile for the technical design  and development of new products. The incumbent will coordinate with a team in the planning, organization, implementation, and completion of project assignments.

This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision
  • Lead design group through conception through production 
  • Oversee significant engineering projects on a timely basis within budget according to customer specifications, including coordination of team, contractors and vendors.
  • Develop action plans and estimate requirements for resources including management, labor, materials and time.
  • Development and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within field.
  • Analyze and identify causes of component failures.
  • Assist with mentoring design team in development of projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, plus 3 years of experience 
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills for balancing multiple projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills for reviewing complex problems.
  • FMEA experience preferred.
