Primary Function

This position is responsible for supporting and assisting Lochinvar sales representatives/product services/marketing department personnel and customer segments (contractor/consulting engineer/wholesale distributors) with the development, delivery and implementation of educational training related to our product(s), their application and system integration. Training and education development will include field or factory based seminars, specialized training presentations and other functions or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of new training courses/seminars/presentations associated with the introduction of new or existing products, components and/or accessories.
  • Coordinate and develop holistic “systems” and/or “advanced” product application approach to sales training and technical presentations.
  • Develop and deliver training presentations to include curriculum and supporting collateral materials for residential and commercial hydronic boiler, water heating and pool heating applications.
  • Assist and participate in the development of Lochinvar University based schools such as but not limited to company events, sales meetings and other functions as required.
  • Develop training materials and curriculum that will provide and enable School Accreditations (CEC’s/PDU’s).
  • Assist with building upon and refining database of all participants of training events associated with this role.
  • Assist in the development of product and application PowerPoint presentations for existing or new product introductions as required.
  • Participate in speaking events at industry events, tradeshows and/or functions.
  • Develop and present product training for expanded sales growth of Lochinvar equipment with integration of the use of contemporary heating sources or product technologies such as Geothermal, plate/frame heat exchangers and solar products.
  • Develop and present tiered online training including: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses for Contractors/Distributors, Engineers and Manufacturers' Representatives.
  • Regularly assist and travel with company representatives such as Key Account Manager, Regional Sales Managers, District Sales Managers as well as independent manufacturers’ representative network as required.  Approximately 75% travel will be required.  
  • Work with Product Management with existing or new product refinements or introductions.
  • Develop and perform webinars and online classes as required.
  • Support and participate in beneficial industry alliances/organizations to maintain Lochinvar’s leadership position in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferably in Business, Engineering or a technical field plus a minimum of 5 years work experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated success in product launches including development and presentation of training to all experience levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.
