Primary Function

The Compensation/HR Analyst provides support for the administration of our compensation programs, including but not limited to hourly and salaried benchmarking, analytics, policies, practices, regulations, and practical standards related to payroll and compensation.  Works closely with the Director of Total Compensation & Payroll, Compensation Manager, HR Business Partners, and Hiring Managers across the organization to deliver timely and accurate information related to compensation and HRIS system matters. Provides ticketing support for organizational, job, and personnel updates to our HRIS systems. 

Role Specific Responsibilities

Job Profiles and Benchmarking Analysis: 

  • Provides timely response to hourly and salaried job evaluation requests, including completion of external/internal analysis using survey data, confirmation of job codes, grades, and job description updates. 
  • Support the development of job descriptions and maintain job description listing/catalogs by ensuring position profiles are kept current and accurate.
  • Provide accurate and timely job profile information to HR Managers as requested.


Hourly and Salary Surveys: 

  • Analyzes employee data to match company positions to hourly and salary survey benchmarks.  Submits this information to external survey sources. 
  • Interfaces with HR and managers to understand job content and confirm survey matches. 
  • Performs ad hoc benchmarking for new positions and recalibration of existing positions. 
  • Performs analysis using total compensation benchmark data on large employee groups for company leadership review. 


HRIS Systems: 

  • Maintains organizational management structure in SAP 
  • Identifies discrepancies and inconsistencies in internal data and takes action to correct. 
  • Updates and uploads job profiles within SuccessFactors. 
  • Provides audit documentation from SuccessFactors and SAP. 
  • Approves Off-Cycle Change Requests as needed. 
  • Participates in application testing for new project implementations.


Reporting and Analytics: 

  • Prepares monthly reports related to audit, governance, HR, and compensation processes. 
  • Completes retirement and financial planning requests, audit requests and documentation as requested. 


Other: 

  • Provide training and ongoing support to Human Resources and Hiring Managers regarding compensation processes and HR systems. 
  • Provides additional support as needed for the merit and bonus processes. 
  • Participates and completes additional projects as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is also required
  • Basic knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, SAP, or HRIS Systems preferred 
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Access, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint 
  • Strong data analytical skills and an affinity for metrics 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; with the ability to plan, prioritize, and balance multiple priorities at a time 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent project management and process documentation skills 
  • Must be able to handle confidential material responsibly at all times
