Primary Function

The position is a structured program designed to fit with the alternating school & work semesters established by many Engineering Colleges. The program is designed to complement the student’s learning and academic experience and is structured to help broadly prepare the student for an engineering career.

Responsibilities

• Electronics Laboratory work (ordering components, electronics assembly & soldering, etc.)
• Using test equipment (DVMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc)
• Electrical engineering and electronics design process including hardware and software design
• Emphasis on general electronic controls

Role Specific Responsibilities

Qualifications

In order to be successful, the candidate students should have the following qualifications:

• Enrolled in an Electrical/Electronics BSEE or BSEET program at an accredited university.
• A sophomore standing with an expectation to be able to coop for at least 3 terms (4 terms preferred).
• At least a 3.0 grade point average in major coursework
• Conscientious & dependable, with the ability to work on a small team as well as independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with personal computers (Windows 7/8 OS) and MS Office Products (Word, Excel, etc)
• A sincere interest in electrical engineering as a career
