What You Will Do

We have an immediate need for a Lab Engineer with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills to join our Corporate Technology Center team in Milwaukee, WI in our Electronics/Sensors group This is an outstanding opportunity for a creative, hands-on individual to work with engineers in the software and hardware , development for water technologies. This position involves approximately 10% travel.

What You Will Be Responsible For

•    Create and modify existing Labview code to evaluate controls schemes and water technologies performance
•    Write code for microcontrollers and Raspberry Pi technologies
•    Design and test electronic controls for water appliances
•    Use protocols to communicate with sensors and devices
•    Data analysis and report generation 
•    Investigate problems and requirements of projects and develop plans for solutions.
•    Mentor co-op students
•    Exposure to power electronics and/or power supply design is a plus
•    Proficient in the use of Altium  PCB design software a plus


What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 
  • Minimum 2 years or exerience preferred.  Will consider a recent grad with related internship experience.  
  • Write code in Labview and other software packages
  • A practical understanding of electrical equipment, as well as working knowledge of data acquisition and instrumentation
  • Ability to gather raw data, enter data into spreadsheets, perform some analysis and present the results to engineers
  • Ability to make critical observations during all phases of testing and provide accurate and complete feedback to engineers
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Provide technical support to business units as necessary and maintain excellent communication with all outside personnel involved
  • Perform appropriate laboratory administrative tasks (i.e. enforcement of lab safety/rules, 5S, etc.).
  • Experience and proven ability to develop equipment specifications as needed
  • Complete regular continuing education classes/training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn new software
