Primary Function

The Treasury Analyst will support the A.O. Smith Corporate Treasury Department and interface with multiple stakeholders in the Finance and Accounting departments along with external financial institutions to prepare and complete various treasury reporting, support and analysis. In addition, be an integral contributor in the cash management function and financial analysis projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily cash management and monitoring bank balances.
  • Investigate and respond to treasury and banking questions from internal departments.
  • Prepare and process wire transfer and ACH payments as needed.
  • Assist as a point of contact for bank and merchant accounts.
  • Prepare and process foreign exchange settlement instructions.
  • Analyze monthly bank account analysis statements to ensure accuracy of fees.
  • Assist with opening new, closing or updating bank accounts.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects as needed.
  • Perform month-end closing activities.
  • Provide audit support and gather necessary information on requests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or another related discipline is required.
  • 0-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, Treasury experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP preferred, GTreasury a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of information.
