This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

 

Primary Function

The Data Architect will play an integral role in defining solutions for data projects in support of business and data strategy initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with process teams, systems integrators, and developers to identify requirements and define solutions for all data integration requests.

This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.

Scope of Responsibility

The Data Architect will provide support across a broad range of activities including Data Integration, Data Migration, Data Quality, and Data Governance. Additionally, they will support the Enterprise Data Architect in developing Data Models to support the informational needs of business. The selected candidate will have frequent interaction and communication with AOS members at all levels of the organization therefore, a poised, professional communication style is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the process teams, systems integration, and developers to define data requirements, data maps, and blueprint designs.
  • Actively participate in requirements and design meetings for data integration, conversion, & migration initiatives.
  • Support process driven integration/configuration activities developing Winshuttle Evolve forms.
  • Develop workflows within Winshuttle Evolve.
  • Create views and data extracts for archived and legacy data using SSIS & SSRS.
  • Create datasets and views using Denodo data virtualization over disparate databases.
  • Be able to organize your workload based on team priorities.
  • Be willing to learn new skills whether they are directly tied to software development, software testing, server maintenance, or release and delivery.
  • Engineer and orchestrate data flows & pipelines.
  • Lead and mentor Data Analysts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree with IT Experience.

  • Professional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of relational databases, queries, & database programming.
  • Knowledge and experience with:
    1. Data Quality & Analysis.
    2. Data migration, integration, and management tools
    3. Data modeling and database design.
    4. Data warehousing, BI and analytics.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of database migration principles & experience with the migration of mission critical databases across multiple database platforms.
  • Expertise in MSSQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Experience with Denodo or data virtualization.
  • Experience with Winshuttle Evolve
  •  Familiarity with data visualization & virtualization tools (Denodo).
  •  Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  •  Must demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines.
  •  Must be able to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers.
