Primary Function

This position is a unique opportunity to serve as a software solution architect and SME focusing on SAP HCM while being a highly visible face to our business stakeholders and technology team. You will have access to and influence stakeholders to help them understand existing opportunities and challenges and will create solutions to solve their business needs. You can expect to be fully engaged beyond technology, and will be responsible for understanding critical business processes, managing project deliverables, and collaborating with a great team. This role will be an integral member of the HRIS team, helping to build and configure our HR systems to function effectively and recommending process improvements. You'll work closely with the broader People, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams with the functional and technical skills to roll out sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead critical projects from start to finish including requirements gathering, solutioning, deployment, testing, training, change management, documentation, communication, and measuring business value
  • Develop a deep understanding of A. O. Smith business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key stakeholders and process owners
  • Interface SAP with our external applications to improve systems usability and process efficiency with RPA
  • Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the SAP, SF & Kronos environment
  • Implement workflows and security set up in SAP/SF and governance strategies to facilitate self-service operations
  • Lead HR cyclical activities (open enrollment, compensation, succession, PMGM) and work with business to make process improvements
  • Implement and monitor a robust report catalog to drive efficiencies within the People team
  • Partner with cross functional teams to deliver high-quality, comprehensive solutions for business events and workflows for employee life cycle
  • Lead HR application product releases, including regression testing and contingency planning for larger project efforts and solution with business how to make best use of new capabilities for their requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of SAP Success Factors and HCM experience
  • 3 full-lifecycle multi-module Success Factors implementations
  • Experience conducting technical workshops and expertise in these modules within SAP (OM, PA, & Benefits) Success Factors (Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Succession, Compensation, LMS, PM&GM)
  • Experience with testing (SIT/UAT), training, knowledge transfer and deployment
  • Certifications in SAP & Success Factors modules is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
