This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

The Project Manager will assist the PMO office in setting standards for project management, maintaining the overall IT project portfolio and managing the day-to-day operations of IT projects.  Our ideal candidate thrives in collaborative team environments, has strong leadership skills, is comfortable interacting with staff who have varying degrees of technical knowledge, has strong problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how things work, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.

Scope of Responsibility

This is a tactical role focused on a variety of Infrastructure, Applications and Development projects.  Project teams are generally small and the project manager will work closely with IT staff, business stakeholders and project teams.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead IT teams, assesses project risks and priorities, developing and executing project plans, and managing change throughout the project
  • Lead the support of a brand-new project management software platform within IT and throughout the company
  • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion
  • Regularly provide status reports on projects managed, including updates, notes, and schedules
  • Ensure teams are well-equipped to complete assignments on time
  • Proactively predict and remove any roadblocks that may delay a project timeline
  • Ensuring all team members are informed and briefed on the timeline and deliverables
  • Provide ongoing project update reports to internal leadership
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 5 years of relevant IT experience overall, with 3 of these years featuring management of IT-related projects
  • Working knowledge of agile/scrum project management
  • Working knowledge of project management software tools, specifically SmartSheet
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others
  • Flexibility to handle multiple priorities, sometimes simultaneously, under deadline pressure
  • PMP certified or working towards certification
