This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

The IT Project Manager will assist the PMO in setting standards for project management, maintaining the overall IT project portfolio and managing the day-to-day operations of IT projects. Our ideal candidate thrives in collaborative team environments, has strong leadership skills, is comfortable interacting with staff who have varying degrees of technical knowledge, has strong problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how things work, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.


  • Plan, implement and oversee all aspects of IT projects to ensure they are completed on budget and in a timely manner. Collaborate with departmental contacts as required and effectively communicate the project status routinely through scheduled project reviews and reports.
  • Responsible for the development of project management training and delivery of the material to the IT organization to increase awareness and acceptance of the process
  • Consult on projects that do not have an assigned project manager ensuring the Project Owners are setup for success
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) leadership team to build out the critical components of a successful PMO including: portfolio management and governance, tools/training and project management methodologies
  • Lead the continuous rollout and support of SmartSheet within IT and throughout the company
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Seven or more years of work experience managing IT projects is also required
  • Proven experience in managing multiple, concurrent, large-scale projects
  • Experience managing both internal and outsourced IT resources
  • Experience at working independently and in a cross functional team-oriented environment is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels
  • Experience managing infrastructure, security or application development projects
  • PMP/PMI or equivalent certifications
  • Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and/or Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet


Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Information Technology Management

Years of Experience

Minimum of 7 years of related work experience or training
