This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

 

Primary Function

 

The PLM Solutions team supports, enhances, and optimizes the processes and tools that assist the ideation, design, launch, service, and retirement of our world class Water Heaters, Boiler, and Water Treatment products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our PLM processes and tools
  • Manage, administer, implement, install, configure, and support PLM processes and tools  
  • Support PLM and ERP upgrades and site implementations
  • Lead standardization of best practices across Engineering teams
  • Develop and deploy PLM solutions that are robust and extendible, and in support of overall business objectives
  • Work closely with Stakeholders to enhance and optimize our PLM solution by:
    • developing and maintaining project documentation including projects charters, and implementation plans
    • performing process mapping
    • developing functional and technical specifications
    • engaging and managing consultants
    • developing test plans, scripts, and data sets
    • developing functional and technical solution documentation
    • developing and delivering training
  • Support the relationships between the PLM team and the rest of our organization
  • Work with Server, Network, Data, Development, and Security teams to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex solution.
  • Support Master Data, Change Analyst, Technical Writer, Product Management, and CAD Council meetings
  • Monitor PLM industry trends and best practices, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Support PLM portfolio management, budgeting, and roadmap activities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting a multi-site PLM solution integrated with a major ERP system
  • Understanding of PLM best practices for document control, product data management, modeling and drawing standards, configuration management, change management, and master data quality management
  • Exposure applying Lean/CI techniques to new product development, and process improvement activities
  • Naturally curious, a quick learner and strong problem solver
  • Good organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
  • Experience working with 3D parametric solid modeling software
  • Preferred:
    • 1 full lifecycle PLM/ERP implementation experience
    • Experience with SAP PLM, SAP MM, SAP ECTR, SAP DMS, cenitCONNECT APM, Enterworks Enable PIM
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or relevant discipline; or related work experience
    • SOLIDWORKS certification (CSWA/CSWP/CSWE)
    • Exposure to Altium ECAD
    • Exposure to Project Management processes, tools, and techniques
    • Experience planning, and developing software
    • Database management experience including the ability to write SQL

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
