This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking.

Primary Function

The primary role of the Production Planning Manager is to oversee the production planning and management activities within the organization. This includes the creation of the high-level supply plan which must ensure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods (FG) products to customers, using a minimum amount of inventory to maximize efficiency targets, minimize working capital costs and conserve cash by managing stock levels.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for Residential plants within NAWH, balancing order volume between the sites to maintain customer lead time targets.
  • Utilizing information from the RCCP and Demand Review, create supply plan scenarios that balance service levels, costs, and inventory.
  • Maintain close coordination with demand planning, material planning, and the SIOP coordinator
  • Oversee and mentor the Production Planning Group, establishing framework for talent development
  • Communicate with order fulfillment to ensure that all delivery schedules are met
  • Formalize and document Finished Good stocking strategies
  • Ensure Master Data is continuously monitored and updated to ensure accuracy, taking guidance from Supply Change and Product Data Owners
  • Create key performance indicators that measure the accuracy, effectiveness, and completeness of the supply and inventory planning process and drive root cause corrective action as needed.
  • Lead development of new methodologies, as needed, to improve the planning process and results.
  • Develop and document standard work that drives repeatable results for production planning.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Related Field
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Experience with Planning in an SAP environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Inventory control and material planning experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead change and influence decisions
  • APICS Certification preferred
