As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support executives and other senior management by being an active participant in business strategy discussions with them, understanding key drivers of financial success, listening to problems and synthesizing them into solvable analytics problems, and bringing actionable solutions that are based on the numbers. You’ll have experience with client presentations, data modelling, automating dashboards, and predictive analytics. Intellectual curiosity, ownership, and detail-orientation are foundational for your success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of an effective, efficient financial reporting process that meets all stakeholder requirements and proactively identifies, monitors and resolves business issues
  • Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership
  • Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan, forecast and prior year
  • Provide effective and timely financial information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure that business leaders are effective in creating and executing the strategic and operating plan
  • Gather, compile, analyze, prepare and summarize data for complex financial projects/subjects such as planning, formulating and conducting financial studies to define performance plans for short and long-range goals
  • Provide thought leadership around cost control, business process improvement and the use of technology to improve analytics
  • Identify and act on opportunities to leverage SAP, Tableau and BI to simplify reporting process
  • Design Tableau dashboards to visualize data and perform rapid analysis of key performance indicators
  • Function as a trusted advisor and business partner to North American Water Heater (NAWH) business leaders.
Qualifications
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and influence key decision makers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated financial budgeting, modeling and analysis skills
  • Effective listening skills, with flexibility in approach to solutions
  • Experience with driving business insight through financial planning and forecasting
  • Strong financial modeling and business acumen
  • Must be a self-starter, be an active participant on teams, and proactively meet with internal or external customers to meet their needs
  • Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously and prioritize workload appropriately
  • Experience working with very large data sets (millions of lines)
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required; SAP, Tableau and BI experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
