Primary Function

Production Team Members are responsible for manufacturing water heater structural components, using a variety of robotic and manually operated industrial machines.  Working on a moving production line, or in a sub assembly cell, handling and installing water heater components resulting in a finished product ready for shipment to our customers.  Team Members are also required to test raw and finished components to manufacturing specifications and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Assembly Team Members     

  • Operates basic controls and industrial hand tools to complete assigned processes.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Read, understand and comply with specific work instructions related to assigned assembly processes.
  • Must be capable of learning multiple jobs and may be required to rotate positions as necessary.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
  • Strictly follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all manufacturing quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Fabrication Team Members

  • Produces water heater structural components, from raw materials, using manually operated industrial press machines according to manufacturing specifications.
  • Assembles raw components using robotic and manual welding techniques in preparation for coating and testing.  
  • Sprays components with a ceramic glass coating for furnace operations and final curing.
  • Completes final assembly of structural components and tests to specific quality control standards.
  • Works in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Read, understand and comply with specific work instructions related to assigned processes.
  • Must be capable of learning multiple jobs and may be required to rotate positions as necessary.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
  • Strictly follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all manufacturing quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • More than one year of direct manufacturing experience.
  • Although not required, prior experience operating a forklift is desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
  • Loud noises and limited exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Use of wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) is required occasionally for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.  
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
  • Variable hot and cold working environment.
