Primary Function

The Facilities Supervisor coordinates activities plant wide by providing direction to staff to ensure compliance with plant goals, clean & sanitized break areas, plant appearance and safety processes. Manages workflow to ensure high performance standards and expectations are met.


  • Have the vision to see both long term and short term cleaning needs to provide the desired atmosphere and work environment to promote positive production flow and resolve issues that may result in an unsafe or unpleasant work environment.
  • Ensure team members are following standardized work instructions with an eye for understanding the quality expectations.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of the plant appearance by driving team cleaning projects along with daily work assignments.
  • Assure the plant is clean and ready for next day’s production cycle.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to understand and enforce all plant safety policies.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as time management.
  • Allocate resources and reassign tasks to match absenteeism and work loads
  • Follow up on multiple work groups throughout the plant to assure expectations and goals are being met.
  • Professionally hold each team member accountable to assigned tasks and resolve any personnel or work flow challenges.
  • Must be able to make quick, educated decisions and work well under pressure.
  • Manage and approve schedules and time cards through Kronos
  • Order supplies through SAP



  • Minimum one year of leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd Shift, as required.
  • Must be able to follow a flexible work schedule.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) is required.
  • Experience with SAP and Kronos is highly desirable.
  • Certification for operating forklifts, man-lifts and floor cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Loud noises and limited exposure to dust and fumes.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.  
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
  • Variable hot and cold working environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
