Primary Function

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Projects will manage multiple medium to large projects varying in complexity from medium to high from start to finish.  The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for completing projects and other work assignments on time and within budget while monitoring progress and performance against the project plans.  This role is responsible for maximizing capital budget dollar spend in the continued automation and improvement of our largest North American manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Managing the costs, resources, and time needed to complete the assigned projects to ensure project targets and deliverables are met.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project to all levels of management.
• Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
• Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 3 -5+ years of experience managing projects for the production floor
• 5+ years of experience managing projects a plus
• Experienced AutoCAD user able to layout equipment and production cells and lines (Solid Works experience a plus)
• SAP experience a plus
• Must have excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational skills (workflows and documentation), and attention to detail
• Must be able to conduct project research, coordinate projects, and installation of new equipment – including weekends
• Must be initiative-taking and self-directed – able to work independently with a “production first” attitude
