Primary Function
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Inventory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our inventory levels to ensure efficient operations and maximum profitability. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand patterns, and providing insightful recommendations to enhance inventory accuracy and control. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple warehouses or locations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze historical sales data, demand patterns, and market trends to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, logistics, and sales, to coordinate and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead time calculations.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate action, such as promotions, markdowns, or returns.
- Use Celonis and other data mining tools to generate inventory reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline processes.
- Work closely with vendors to resolve any inventory-related issues, including backorders, shortages, and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and advanced spreadsheet tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles, forecasting techniques, and supply chain management concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- At least one year of experience with Supply Planning in an SAP environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Inventory control and material planning experience.
- Bilingual is preferred
