Primary Function


POSITION HOURS:   2nd Shift 3:30pm to 12am OR Split Shift 10am to 7pm


The Welding Engineer will be responsible for the development and execution of the overall welding strategy at the designated site and may assist with other locations’ strategies. The incumbent will provide guidance and supervision to welders to support and improve production.  

  • Develop and execute an overall welding strategy for the plant welding processes, equipment, and applications.
  • Act as an active leader and contributor in developing and applying new technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance to help support production throughput, efficiency, first pass yield, cost reduction, and safety improvements.
  • Provide daily engineering support, including hands-on weld quality trouble shooting and weld operator training for production welding operations
  • Provide technical support to new equipment purchases by involvement in quote design review process, review of welding documentation, and establishment of strong relationships with vendors.
  • Supervise welding technicians.
  • Coordinate jobs and projects with outside vendors.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering or other related field.
  • Five years of industry related experience.
