This is a HYBRID position working out of our beautiful  Austin,TX office and  is conveniently located across from Pease Park, near downtown Austin, restaurants and shopping, and boasts plenty of parking. In 2016, Aquasana was purchased by global water technology leader A. O. Smith Corporation and is part of its dynamic, rapidly-growing North America Water Treatment division.

 

 

 

Primary Function

Under general supervision, the Front End Web Developer is responsible for the coding of our e-commerce and content driven websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side programming languages.  The role is also responsible for creating innovative solutions in web design to help make the websites more visually appealing and enhance overall usability for our customers. This role will be actively involved in the planning, execution and deployment of website functionality and enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements web applications using a variety of languages and platforms such as HTML, PHP, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, XML and JSON.
  • Implements responsive web design principles to ensure that the websites render well across multiple devices, including mobile and tablet.
  • Designs and develops web pages and applications for our e-commerce (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and content-driven (WordPress) websites.
  • Develops proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy to navigate user interfaces (UI) and user experience design (UX) that consist of web pages with graphics, icons and color schemes that are visually appealing.
  • Manages and executes an A/B and/or Multivariate testing roadmap to make continuous improvements to be websites to drive metric improvements.
  • Utilizes Google Tag Manager to manage tags for key website functionality and remarketing purposes.
  • Ensures that applications and features are compatible across multiple computing platforms and browsers.
  • Monitors website performance overall and watches for site usability problems - rectify the issues as needed.
  • Maximizes SEO principles in the development of applications and e-commerce and content driven websites.
  • Helps back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Writes technical documentation regarding the website's technical requirements.
  • Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
  • Codes, tests, and debugs documents, implements and maintains website software applications.
  • Analyzes requirements, maintains tests, and integrates application components.
  • Ensures that website and other system improvements are successfully implemented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience as a front end developer
  • In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform
  • In depth knowledge of UI/UX design
  • Strong working knowledge of one or more server-side programming languages: PHP and/or server-side JavaScript desired
  • In-depth working knowledge of and experience with modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript including JQuery
  • In-depth working knowledge of and experience with a version control platform, preferably Git, including repo platform management
  • Working knowledge of node.js and npm; working knowledge of Sass
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe products (Photoshop)
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with a strong ability to analyze information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
