Primary Function

The DC Team Lead - 2nd Shift will provide direction to at least two material handlers to ensure safety, compliance with production goals, and delivery of a quality product to our customers.  Will also manage manage workflow to ensure high performance standards are met and performs accountability and systematic audits.  Approximately 1/3rd of the role will be coordinating activities in the DC in while 2/3rds of the role will be in the capacity of a material handler.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours:  Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10:30 pm, with overtime as needed, potentially on Saturdays

 

Pay: $24.93/hr to start ($24.33/hr base and $.60 shift differential)

 

Sign On Bonus Opportunity:  $1500

  • $500 at 90th day of hire, $500 at 180th day of hire, $500 at 365th day of hire
  • Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Responsibilities

  • Implement, train, and ensure compliance to the Distribution Center’s process and procedures
  • Understanding and enforcing all DC Safety policies
  • Ensure team members are practicing all DC procedures while maintaining high quality levels and assisting in special customer requirements.
  • Learn all job functions in the DC
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of the DC by working with the Supervisors and Manager.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by utilizing SAP, cycle counts and bin audit procedures.
  • Will operate gas sit down or electric forklifts, both inside and outside of the building, as well as other equipment (scissor lift, pallet jack)
  • At times will need to physically move/position products up to 100 lbs

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related work experience or training
  • High School Diploma required
  • Prior experience operating a tow motor or forklift required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) is required
  • Experience with SAP and Kronos is highly desirable
  • Strong Warehouse Management System Knowledge, or the ability to learn PTP in SAP
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to move products up to 100 lbs
  • Strong organizational skills as well as time management
  • Must be able to make quick, educated decisions and work well under pressure
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and write and build relationships at all levels (team members, customers, drivers, and dispatchers)
