Primary Function

As the Production Supervisor, you will coordinate activities in the manufacturing area by providing direction to staff to ensure compliance with production goals, quality, and safety processes as well as the reducing downtime and waste. In addition, you will also coordinate workflow to ensure high performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of 20+ assembly employees using automation or pneumatic/electric power tools
  • Accountable for meeting production and quality goals while driving projects to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Coach team members to understand and meet the company objectives (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Morale).
  • Maintain a positive relationship between employees and company.
  • Work closely with Process Engineering, Maintenance and Production Control to help maximize efficiency.
  • Determine root cause of problems and implement corrective actions to keep from repeating mistakes.
  • Creates a work environment which engages its members to achieve compliance with the objectives of manufacturing.
  • Establishes plans to achieve or exceed production and quality goals.
  • Use the most appropriate quality tools for problem solving.
  • Always seek continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Follows up on daily production results, quality and safety.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What You Will Bring

  • High School  Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Production Supervisor in an assembly environment 
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 6:00 am and 4:30 pm M-F if OT is required and some Saturdays 
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in relationship building with a diverse workforce
  • Familiar with time keeping system or tracking work hours and payroll.
  • Mechanical aptitude
