Primary Function

The Technical Trainer I will assist in the presentation training materials to customers and/or internal users. The incumbent will ensure proper training on the installation, operation, and maintenance of company products, components, and accessories.

Job Responsibilities

 

1. Present pre-developed training materials to customers and/or internal users covering installation, operation, and maintenance of company products. 
2. Use prescribed media and technology to facilitate learning in the classroom, labs, and webinars. 
3. Prepare classroom and lab environments and gather necessary resources prior to training sessions.
4. Assist in the preparation and assembly of training materials and media to ensure required resources are available during training.
5. Coordinate training and classroom logistics, collaborating with trainers and end-users as needed to fit schedules.
6. May help maintain and update training content and media as new products and policies are adopted or as issues arise.

8. Assist in the administration and documentation of training, lab exercises, and tests for participants.
9. Perform other activities, as needed, in the support of training efforts. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Experience in training, customer service, or related function, preferred
  • Familiarity with training systems and approaches
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation and listening skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with graphics and video production, helpful
