Primary Function

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, cost, productivity, and morale of the fabrication department team. The successful candidate will have proven experience driving and sustaining key projects that will meet/exceed department and plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

• Must have the vision to follow the production process and break bottlenecks that may prohibit the line from running as efficient as possible.
• Ensure team members are following standardized work instructions with an eye for understanding the quality expectations.
• Able to work varied hours including coming in early and staying late based on production needs, meetings, and training classes.
• Ability to learn the contents of the workstations and needs of its team members.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly audits and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
• Understand and complete daily documents.
• Make assessments of the sequencing of components through the verification process.
• Ability to determine the work that needs to be done in the cell and delegate accordingly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline preferred.
• Previous experience managing manufacturing teams of 50 or more employees.
• 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and ability to problem-solve.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a forklift operators certification.
