Primary Function
Will direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Determine price schedules and discount rates on company products.
- Review territory records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Prepare budgets and goals within assigned territory.
- Eventually will confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.
- Advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
- Visit franchised dealers to stimulate interest in establishment or expansion of leasing programs.
- Assess marketing potential of new and existing store locations, considering statistics and expenditures.
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years' experience selling and managing customers and travel appropriate in an assigned territory.
- Experience in sales or new business development with a focus in the water heater. HVAC, plumbing industries.
- Experience selling and problem solving with distributor, rep, contractor in residential and commercial markets.
- Previous experience in business development, account management and sales process.
- Proficiency in MS Office Products is required. Experience in Salesforce CRM is a plus.
