Primary Function
Designs, implements and monitors a variety of human resource programs. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations – Counseling, coaching, corrective action counseling and retirement counseling at all levels
- Employee safety and health administration for World Headquarters and Corporate Technology Center
- Manages HR functions such as compensation and benefits administration, EEP-1 and AAP oversight, local FMLA, shot term disability and long-term disability administration
- Participates in managing local recruiting and hiring.
- Event and conference planning and community relations event coordinator
- Employee education and training
- Written communications such as authoring announcements, policies, intranet content and general correspondence.
- Provide support in one or more functional HR areas, with direct supervision, to assigned areas of company or HR discipline including but not limited to: recruitment, student programs, employment, employee/industrial relations, benefits/payroll administration (including various types of leaves of absence), compensation, organization development, performance management, training, educational assistance, EEO/AA compliance, diversity, international assignments/immigration, relocation, special projects and record keeping.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies, procedures and practices.
- Develop reports as required by compliance or organizational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field is required
- PHR or SPHR certification is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR generalist work experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Excellent Communication Skills via written and oral
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to deal comfortably with all levels of management
- SAP, SuccessFactors and/or Kronos Experience preferred
