Primary Function

As the Project Manager, you will support the company as it integrates newly acquired organizations and implements improvements of existing initiatives within the existing business. You will assist in providing advice, managing projects, and facilitating meetings between key stakeholders or division leaders. The incumbent in this role will act as a consultant, facilitator, communicator, coach, and bridge builder for all business functions during a merger and acquisition, such as Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, IT, etc. This is a highly visible position who will report directly to the Director of Business Development.

Role Specific Responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for the creation and delivery of defined integration strategies, processes, and executional plans
  • Motivate and coordinate work between employees across numerous teams spanning multiple departments and locations
  • Partner with cross functional peers and other resources in Operations, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and Customer Service
  • Adapt and recalibrate project plans as situations change and evolve
  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with internal team members 
  • Build relationships with members of the newly acquired businesses and gain their buy-in on integration plans
  • Provide guidance to teams with clear assignments, disciplined timelines, and other expectations for their role
  • Schedule and facilitate cadence of meetings to ensure projects are kept on track 
  • Serve as the primary lead for project planning sessions and document roles and responsibilities coming out of planning sessions
  • Set and maintain project schedules while interacting with various departments within the organization
  • Analyze and report on project variances, project status, risks, or issues while identifying and acting on opportunities
  • Report and escalate challenges or delays to management as needed
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, operations or related field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, SmartSheets, Gantt Charts and other PM Software.
  • Excellent client service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, ability to think critically and evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to details and multitasking skills a must.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • PMP credentials, preferred.
  • Up to 50% travel
