Primary Function

Responsible for preparing and analyzing various financial reports and statements as well as maintaining the integrity of all financial documents. Work to interpret the financial data to make appropriate recommendations to management about financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze various financial statements and reports.
  • Research and generate financial forecasts, sales analyses, and other trends.
  • Prepare and review financial planning reports and periodic updates.
  • Review and analyze “what if” scenarios for future business planning from the finance perspective.
  • Analyze profit-and-loss income statements and prepare reports and recommendations to management.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze research projects and analyses including budget, expenses, staffing, rates of return, sensitivity analysis, and financial projections.
  • Perform and review month end closing procedures.
  • Maintain the integrity of the organizational hierarchy and account code structure within the financial consolidation database.
  • Provide technical support to operating unit personnel relative to the submission of actual/forecast financial data to Corporate Headquarters.
  • Maintain and expand the capabilities for electronic distribution of financial reports.
  • Prepare and review various schedules and analyses in support of both internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports to identify financial impacts of the data
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems
  • Experience with consolidation accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
  • Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
