Primary Function

The Endpoint Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective operational support for endpoint management and application deployments across the global organization. This individual is responsible for various aspects of device management, including software packaging, operating system deployment, patch management, and supporting security compliance. The Endpoint Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborate on deployment needs, and implement process improvements to align with the organization's IT strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing Microsoft Intune and Tanium platforms for patching and updating Operating Systems, 3rd party applications, and device drivers to maintain endpoint security and performance.
  • Build and deploy approved software application packages using Tanium and Microsoft Intune to ensure consistent and reliable software distribution across endpoints.
  • Create and document support processes and knowledge articles using the ServiceNow knowledge base to enhance support efficiency.
  • Generate reports from Tanium related to compliance, deployment progress, and other relevant metrics to provide insights to management.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Service Desk and Global User Services technicians, offering expertise and guidance in resolving complex endpoint-related issues.
  • Collaborate with functional support teams and business analysts to address new and existing deployment needs effectively.
  • Assist in gathering requirements, current state, and future state analysis, including participating in process mapping sessions to improve endpoint management processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that align with the organizational strategic vision and priorities to enhance endpoint management efficiency.
  • Continuously enhance skillsets through continuing education and certifications, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as necessary to support the overall IT service delivery operations.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICIATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate’s degree with relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience in endpoint support, deployment, and management.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of application deployment and endpoint management platforms and services, such as Tanium, Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Azure, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with various Operating Systems, including Windows 7/8/10/11 Linux, and Mac.
  • ServiceNow ITSM experience, with Asset and/or CMDB experience considered a plus.
  • Lean and agile mindset for efficient endpoint management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in diverse environments.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management
