Primary Function

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for preparing various financial reports, maintaining the integrity of financial documents, and assisting in risk management activities. The associate will work with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Director of Corporate Accounting to analyze statements and reports and make appropriate recommendations to management about financial and risk matters.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Accounting Responsibilities 

  1. Gather data and assist in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  2. Research variances from financial forecasts to actuals on a monthly basis.
  3. Assist in the preparation of the annual financial planning and periodic updates.
  4. Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliation of key accounts.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the organizational hierarchy and account code structure within the financial consolidation database. 
  6. Ensure company compliance with requirements related to unclaimed property reporting.
  7. Gather data and assist in the preparation of various required governmental financial statements and key reports.
  8. Assist in preparing various schedules and analyses in support of both internal and external financial reporting requirements
  9. Support Accounts Payable accounting at the World Headquarters.
  10. Review and provide feedback on quarterly and annual external financial statements.
  11. Perform other activities as needed or as directed. 

Risk Responsibilities 

  1. Assist with activities of global risk management service providers (brokers, insurers, third party administrators, actuary).  
  2. Assist with contract review pertaining to risk management issues.
  3. Assist with worldwide insurance policy placement and administration.
  4. Participate with insurer recovery efforts
  5. Assist with insurance-related matters for acquisitions and divestitures.
  6. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


  1. Prior experience with SAP is desired but not required
  2. Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports and identify financial impacts of the data
  3. Experience with consolidation accounting and financial reporting is preferred
  4. Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
  6. Strong communication skills, both orally and written, especially communication of financial results and information
  7. Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information
  8. Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities
  9. Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Related Discipline 
  10. Minimum of 1 year related work experience
