Primary Function

The Business Analytics Analyst will serve as a critical data partner across the enterprise, blending technical fluency with business acumen to support and influence strategic initiatives across sales, operations, finance, customer service, production, supply chain, and business technology. This role will harness advanced analytics, data engineering, and emerging AI capabilities to generate actionable insights and help business leaders make informed, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic analytics partner, translating business questions into data-driven solutions through the use of statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI-enhanced techniques.
  • Own full-cycle analytics projects:
    • Partner with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
    • Scope project milestones and timelines
    • Extract, clean, and validate data using advanced SQL and scripting
    • Build and deploy models, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as R, Python, and Tableau
    • Communicate results with clarity, tailoring insights to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Train end users, maintain analytics assets, and implement iterative improvements
  • Develop and maintain scalable analytics workflows and pipelines across key functional domains (sales, warranty, supply chain, finance, etc.)
  • Proactively identify trends, outliers, and opportunities by analyzing internal and external data sources (e.g., market share, order flow, customer segmentation)
  • Serve as SME for critical business queries and KPIs, including ad hoc executive requests
  • Champion AI and automation tools to reduce manual processes, enhance forecasting, and enable proactive decision-making
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to enhance data architecture and ensure robust data governance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; STEM, Data Science, Analytics, or Engineering discipline strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of hands-on analytics experience with increasing technical complexity
  • Proficient in SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions), Python (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib), and/or R (tidyverse, caret); strong scripting and automation skills required
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying machine learning models (e.g., classification, regression, clustering) preferred
  • Experience applying GenAI (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings) to solve business problems or improve workflows preferred
  • Strong data visualization skills using Tableau (developer-level), Power BI, or similar
  • Experience with SAP data extraction and reporting tools (e.g., WeBI, Analysis for Excel, BEx, BPC) preferred
  • Familiarity with process mining platforms such as Celonis a plus
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to synthesize technical analyses into clear, compelling business insights
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, experimentation, and staying current with the analytics and AI landscape

Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
