Primary Function

Work in a team environment to develop, implement and troubleshoot automation, conveyance, foaming and other assembly related processes to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost. 

 

Responsibilities

Lead improvements for/and troubleshoot equipment

Lead improvements for assembly line production to increase productivity

Maintain and present PPM reports

Conduct time studies for assembly lines for Lean Manufacturing initiatives

Collect and analyze data from SCADA production system

Train employees on safe and proper equipment use

Travel as necessary for training and trials

Coordinate / Support installation of new equipment and systems

Use Microsoft Windows and Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.) to complete analysis and reports as necessary

Any other duties as required by supervisor

Role Specific Responsibilities

Qualifications

Must have excellent verbal, written and organizational skills; quick to learn and apply new concepts

Must be self-motivated and self-directed and confident to present results to management

Must have basic mechanical skills for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Automated paint system background preferred

Problem solving skills (5Why, 4M, Fishbone Diagram, Etc.)

2 Year technical degree (4 year degree preferred)

1-2 years of related work experience Minimum

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Trade School Degree

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year related work experience
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
