Primary Function

As the Product Manager, you will plan, organize, and collaborate on an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

  • Identify and articulate to the sales force the company’s distinctive competence and the product line’s unique advantages.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research with existing and prospective customers, assimilate customer and market requirements.
  • Develop business cases for new products, plan and implement product launches.
  • Manage the marketing mix post-launch. Perform product life cycle management to maximize product line profitability.
  • Monitor market and technological developments and incorporate information into the overall corporate product program strategy.
  • Conduct research and provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning.
  • Create detailed business, marketing and product requirements.
  • Create and maintain the product plan for all channels served by the product line.
  • Collect market and product requirements from internal and external sources (customers, prospects, sales personnel, etc.), produce product requirement documents, evaluate against company product program strategies, evaluate the commercial feasibility of the requirement and determine whether it should be included in the product plan.
  • Identify and document competitive threats, industry innovations and other industry related news.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or marketing. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in product management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the water heating and treatment industry, including understanding of regulatory requirements, energy efficiency standards, and emerging technologies, would be advantageous.
