Primary Function

This position will take the lead in developing the Financial Plan and Forecasts; as well as providing the analytical support to identify and research significant variances and trends.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Analyze historic data to identify opportunities for improvement and to develop metrics to monitor the results from corrective actions taken.

Responsibilities

  • Provide FP&A support to the management team of the Canadian operations.

  • Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.

  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • This position will also create reports and presentations that provide insightful analysis, to assist in identifying required action items, as well as effectively frame decisions to be made.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of financial experience or exposure to accounting systems

Additional Qualifications:

 

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting/financial and business principle’s

  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics

  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels

  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of data analytic software (e.g. Tableau) an asset.

  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication

  • Ideal candidate would have SAP knowledge/experience

  • Conversant in French and English an asset.

Education

Baccalaureate in Finance or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
