Primary Function

As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will develop and implement overall Continuous Improvement Strategy for APCOM.  Lead business process improvements for the entire company as well as manufacturing continuous improvement activity.  


  • Develop an annual Continuous Improvement Strategy for APCOM. 
  • Provides overall guidance of APCOM’s Continuous Improvement Program through matrix team consisting of all company functions. 
  • Assists operations achieving measurable and sustainable improvement in key metrics such as efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of business and manufacturing processes. 
  • Tracks APCOM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Improvement Priorities (KIPs). 
  • Assures root cause analysis and countermeasures have been taken to address deficiencies. 
  • Manages One Minute Continuous Improvement Stories (OMCIS). 
  • Leads company efforts by educating personnel on lean concepts and tools. 
  • Facilitates CI Kaizen events and tracks progress of improvement with other AOS facilities. Provide corporate leadership as requested. 
  • Gathers information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs and duration. 
  • Applies various industrial engineering problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management. 
  • Facilitates employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve the overall results of the respective teams’ tasks. 


  • Excellent understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes and concepts. 
  • AutoCAD knowledge and experience preferred. 
  • Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. 
  • Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. 
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. 
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
