APCOM's facility in Franklin, Tennessee, is a climate controlled facility that manufactures electric thermostats, pipe nipples, dip tubes, elements, and burner assemblies.
Primary Function
The 3rd Shift Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will perform preventative, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment with a strong emphasis on, but not limited to electrical controls and systems.
We Offer
Regularly Scheduled Hours: 3rd Shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am) Sunday - Thursday
Pay: Minimum of $29.78/hour ($28.78/hr plus $1/hr shift differential). More depending on experience.
Sign On Bonus Opportunity: $1500
- $500 at 90th day of hire, $500 at 180th day of hire, $500 at 365th day of hire
Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Responsibilities
- Respond to production work orders regarding troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing & facility equipment which includes fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC and robotic processes.
- Assist Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians on any electrical control, motion control, Vision Camera, robotic and PLC equipment
- Primary PM focus on electrical cabinets, PLC/Robot/Drive Backups
- Become familiar with APCOM’s product specifications and the quality standards, including assisting in the development and upkeep of operating procedures for process and equipment, reviewing each line for quality, and working with the Quality department to train employees to identify quality problems.
- Complete all work orders related in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required, Journeyman or similar related certification or degree preferred
- 5 + years of experience in specific responsibilities mentioned above
- Must possess a complete set of maintenance tools
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLC’s and robotics

- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
- Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.
