Overview

The Certification Coordinator will establish, implement, and maintain procedures and processes for plant locations to achieve certification from various trade associations or private or public entities.

Responsibilities

  • Determine testing requirements for products developed in Residential Engineering to comply with various standards including ANSI, CSA, UL, DOE, NSF, Air Quality Management Districts, SASO, Kuwait, UAE, International Electromechanical Code, EN, etc.
  • Provide guidance to design teams and facilitate testing at external agencies as required.
  • Facilitate yearly AHRI audit process and provide AOS product to third party test laboratories as part of the AHRI manufacturers audit program and maintain yearly program audit results.
  • Review and critique Uniform Energy Descriptor data and reports per Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Maintain and audit AOS databases relative to external entities such as AHRI, DOE, Energy Star, CEC.
  • Prepare applications for the permits, licenses, certificates, authorizations, and other approvals that the organization needs to conduct its business activities. These may include product licenses, manufacturing, import and export permits. 
  • Provide support for communications with federal regulators and ensure company policies strictly adhere to statutory requirements. Stay up to date on pending regulatory requirements and how it will effect AOS products.
  • Maintain schedules of testing requirements to ensure certifications stay current.
  • Evaluate current processes and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
  •  Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication - written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize individual workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a support role within a team

Years of Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
